Decatur Beach Party

Last night Kate and I took the boys to the Decatur Beach Party. As you can see from the pictures-we had so much fun. Basically, they block off a section of the Decatur square and dump a TON of sand on the street. It's like a HUGE sandbox with 300 kids, mommies and daddies. The mommies/daddies are trying not to spill their "adult beverages"-Kate wasn't so successful at this! Anyway, there is music, food, games for kids, beer and of course-SAND!! The boys had a blast. James wanted to explore and Spencer tried REALLY hard to scoop all the sand out of the baby pool. He finally gave up and just climbed in and out 1,000 times. Notice the yellow armband on Spencer in some of these pics-HIS FIRST PARTY ARMBAND!!! Kate and I have made big plans to return next year!!!
